Together for H2OPE expands to the largest organic, Fair Trade tea estate in India to ensure 6,500 villagers have long-term access to clean water.
Numi Foundation is partnering with the suppliers of our award-winning organic, Fair Trade Certified™ black teas to help provide clean, safe drinking water to 6,500 residents at the Tongonagaon Tea Estate. Currently most households have a well, but sadly they’re tapping a contaminated water table. In partnership with local farmers and Women’s Earth Alliance, a global nonprofit with experience in community-led safe water projects around the world, Numi Foundation is deeply engaged in an education and behavior change campaign to foster healthy practices that protect the water table while promoting better sanitation. Numi Foundation is also helping to rebuild wells at 12 of the 13 schools, along with wells in the fields for farmers to use while working, ensuring lasting access to clean water for future generations.
