Celebrating 20 Years of Keeping it Real & Making a Difference 

We are honored and excited to celebrate with Honorary Hosts Mayor Libby Schaaf, Van Jones, Michael Franti, Lynne Twist, Paul Hawken, and Paul Rice as we celebrate 20 years of Numi’s impact under the banner of Activating Purpose and leverage the opportunity to raise awareness and support for Numi Foundation’s mission of nurturing and empowering communities. All funds raised at the gala, via sponsorship and underwriting will benefit the foundation’s work. If you are unable to attend and still want to support our work providing gardening programs and field trips to all low-income Oakland Unified elementary schools, providing water and sanitation to farmers and families, and empowering Iraqi orphans with education, of course any donations to Numi Foundation are always appreciated.

Not Your Typical Gala

Numi’s 20th anniversary gala will not be a standard, sit down affair—it will be a celebration highlighting not only our accomplishments and impact, but leaders and amazing partner organizations building stronger communities from the ground up. There will be good company, incredible art, inspiring stories, and of course, dancing and great food. Our gala will celebrate Numi’s efforts in Oakland and globally with world-class entertainment, short, lively speeches from dynamic leaders and key supporters, and fun, interactive experiences. Our goal is to ensure that all participants leave the event just as they leave our programs—inspired, informed, and ready to activate purpose in building stronger communities and protecting our environment. This gala will be a night to remember.
