Orange Spice Rum Punch

This festive holiday cocktail made with Numi Orange Spice tea is the perfect drink to help kick off your party. Adapted from Bartender David Murrin-von Ebers recipe from Imbibe magazine, this delicious drink combines Jamacian Rum, citrus, spice and bubbles. This punch hails from his family traditions and we hope you will enjoy adding it to yours!

Did you know? Jamaican rum is particularly known for its strong aroma and flavor of tropical fruits like pineapple and banana. Combining it with Numi Orange Spice Tea, which comprises classic autumnal spices such as cloves, orange peel, allspice, and ginger, results in a delightful cocktail.

Ingredients:
1.5 oz blended Jamaican Rum
1 oz Numi Orange Spice Tea Syrup
.75 oz Grapefruit Juice
.5 oz Lemon Juice
2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
1 oz Prosecco, to top

Tools: Cocktail shaker, Strainer,Large Cup

Preparation:
1. Make your Orange Spice Tea Syrup by combining 2 cups of boiling water to 3 Numi Orange Spice Tea Bags and steep for 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags, add 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/8 cup honey and a small dash of salt, stirring until dissolved. Cool and store in the refrigerator. (Stays fresh for 1 week)
2. Add Rum, Numi Orange Spice Tea Syrup, Grapefruit and Lemon Juices, and Angostura Bitters to an ice filled shaker and shake until chilled.
3. Strain into a chilled glass, top with Prosecco and garnish with a swath of orange peel.
