Drinking Chocolate Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino

This Starbucks copycat is quicker and easier to make than making a trip to your local chain…and even more delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk, 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/3 cup Numi Drinking Chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup (hint: you can use our syrup recipe below)
  • 2 cups ice
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla
  • Whipped Cream (optional)

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Top with extra drinking chocolate crumbles, chocolate syrup or whipped cream.

Drinking Chocolate Pancake or Waffles

Ingredients:

Whip up your favorite pancake or waffle recipe and add Numi’s Drinking Chocolates right to the batter! You can pre-mix into the batter or just add it right on top of the batter when on the griddle. We recommend 1 teaspoon per pancake for a light chocolate taste or 1 tablespoon for chocolate lovers who want all the chocolate!

Top off your pancakes and waffles, or ice cream with this decadent sauce.

Ingredients:

Bring the maple syrup and hot chocolate mix to a simmer, whisking constantly, in a small saucepan over medium heat. Continue to simmer until the syrup is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 5 minutes. Keep warm.

A quick dessert sure to impress any guest!

Ingredients:

  • 6oz Numi Drinking Chocolates
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Place the cream, yolks, sugar and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisking to combine. Continue to whisk until the mixture starts to bubble and is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Pour the hot mixture into a blender with the chocolate and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into individual ramekins and refrigerate for 6-8 hours or until set. Let the pots de creme sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.

Drinking Chocolate Truffles

Perfect for a quick, homemade gift for friends or family. Pro tip: Keep an ice pack to keep your hands cold while you form the truffles. Cool your hands between every two truffles.

Ingredients:

Place chocolate, cream and butter in a microwave proof bowl. Microwave on high for 4 x 30 second bursts, stirring in between. Cover bowl with a plate and stand for 5 minutes, then stir until chocolate is melted and smooth.
Place the bowl in the refrigerator for a minimum of 6 hours. Remove chocolate from fridge. Use a tablespoon to scoop the mixture and roll into a ball using your hands. Once all balls are rolled, roll in extra drinking chocolates and store on a chilled plate. Serve at room temperature.
